Growing up on a farm in the Drakensburg, South Africa, Rodger discovered his love and passion for the bush at an early age. He has always known that the African wilderness would hold a special place in his heart, so becoming a guide was an obvious choice.

A keen birder, photographer and fly fisherman, Rodger combines his knowledge on animal behaviour and experience in photography to add a different dimension to his guided trips. His knowledge on bird life has been a hobby from a young age, something he tries to share with all his guests. Over the last eight years Rodger has worked as a field guide in Kenya, Mozambique, and South Africa: the Eastern Cape and Kalahari. He is extremely passionate about walking safaris, and equally excited by game drives. His enthusiasm for the wilderness is truly captivating, and his energy contagious.
