A Magnet for Wildlife
South Luangwa hosts large populations of elephants, buffalo, hippopotamus and (Thorneycroft’s) giraffe. Leopard and Lion are exceptionally well represented- indeed; South Luangwa is touted as having one of the highest densities of leopard in Africa. Birds are also a major attraction in Luangwa - with over 420 species recorded. The highlight of the birding experience here is seeing the various storks and herons flocking to feed on the fish in drying pools- which you can expect to see at this time of year. ITINERARY
This safari will consist of an itinerary as such:
Day 1 - Arrival
Upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport, you will be met by Isak your guide and escorted to your internal scheduled fight to South Luangwa National Park. Once you arrive, you will be met by a Mfuwe Lodge representative who will transfer you to camp for your three nights stay.
Day 4
After your last game activity, you will be transferred to the BushCamp for your three nights stay.
Day 7
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Mfuwe Lodge for your final night.
Day 8 - Final Day
After your last game activity, you will be transferred back to the Mfuwe Airstrip in time for your scheduled flight back to the Lusaka International Airport. This is unfortunately the end of your safari!

Once he picked up a camera, his engineering career came to an end and Isak has now established himself as one of the top bird photographers in Africa.
