SAFARI OVERVIEW

  • Your Guide: Darren Donovan
  • Group Size: Maximum 4 photographers (small-group workshop)
  • Dates: 23–27 September 2027
  • Recommended for: Photographers of all levels who want an exclusive Kalahari experience with clean waterhole backgrounds, strong predator potential, excellent raptors, and the chance to photograph rare nocturnal species. Ideal for guests looking to improve both technical settings and creative approach in a quiet, uncrowded wilderness.
  • Fitness level: Low to Average – You will climb on and off a safari vehicle and spend long periods driving on unpaved, dusty roads. Expect early starts and extended afternoon-to-evening drives.
  •

  • The C4 Experience: This workshop is built around true exclusivity, with only one vehicle operating across the entire 95,000-hectare reserve. With Darren’s background in guiding, birding, and behaviour, you’ll receive practical photographic coaching in the field, from camera settings and composition to anticipating action at waterholes, on the pans, and during night drives. The itinerary is designed to give you time, space, and calm sightings so you can create more intentional images.
