Recently finished lodge in Arusha, a great addition the other two Wildlife Explorer tented safari camps. The modern chalets have three rooms with a semicircular entrance and views over the landscaped gardenswhich are all shaded by mature yellow barked acacia trees. The interiors are modern, combiningmetal lamp shades, exposed wooden ceilings and a well thought out fabrics.
The communal and dining area with open fire, candle light and table settings for plenty of guests, whereMerci the chef can prepare and more sophisticated cuisine that is not available in the tented camps. Areal farm to plate experience with home grown vegetables and herbs.
Mila Camp opened on the 20th of December 2019 with 5 tented rooms and 1 two-bedroomed family tent. Designed and crafted by Nicolas Negre with interiors by Fabia Bausch, owners of Chem Chem Safaris, the style of Mila has been inspired by the success of Little Chem Chem and the interiors havea splash of purple celebrating one of the Da’toga’s traditional colours.
Guests staying at Mila are allocated a private vehicle and guide per booking and together with undertaking a safari adventure they can visit the Hadzabe, Da’toga and Maasai tribes for a glimpse into their culture and traditions as they go about their way of life. Furthermore there is the option of fly camping for those who want a real sense of adventure and a night under the stars.
Dulana sits on the edge of ‘Hidden Valley’ a little known depression on the southern plains of the Serengeti, on the edge of the off road driving area, allowing immediate access onto the short grass plains where Cheetah are abundant and Lion prides establish territory close to camp and the surrounding woodland.
The camp takes advantage of the uninterrupted views across the shallow valley, where different species of game can be spotted from the comfort of the accommodation tents. The main lounge and dining tents also enjoy splendid views and are a haven of comfort for the hours of daytime rest.
Nearby, a towering kopje system create the backdrop for African sundowners saluting the end of another spectacular safari day. The site for Dulana has been selected for its proximity to the short grass plains but more importantly, the camp has a feel of remote exclusivity, away from most other tourism in an isolated setting. Dulana activities are all about big game-predator and prey interaction
Travel Insurance is mandatory for all of our safaris. Please read more about our policy at the bottom of this page and also in our Terms and Conditions.

"C4 organised a safari in the northern Serengeti for us with Maasai Wanderings Nasikia Camps. It was awesome in the true sense of the word. The camp was fantastic the food was great, we slept like babies every night and the staff were lovely. The game drives were amazing the guides were extremely knowledgable and we learnt a lot about the animals as well as seeing a lot of animals. All the organisation of flights and hotels was spot on. All in all a fantastic holiday."
Gavin"I have previously been a few times to Eastern and Southern Africa, but this definitely was one of the very best trips. Not only did we see great animals, but under Shem's gentle and always encouraging guidance my photography skills have improved. We visited Tarangire National Park with its huge herds of elephants and thousands of buffalo, took photos of usually shy Datoga women at Lake Eyasi, and finally saw 7 cheetahs in South Serengeti. How our Tanzanian guide managed to find them, I still marvel at. I look forward to another trip with Shem Compion."
Maria Stuchly, Vancouver, Canada"This trip was worth every penny (or dollar) I spent! I would give it a 12 out of 10 rating for meeting my expectations. Greg was a superb host and with his help I personally sorted out quite a lot of technical issues around my photography. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to get to a wilderness area and really see Africa."
Christine Lamberth"This is definitely a trip that should be on your bucket list if you are a wildlife and photography enthusiast."
Paul and Barbara Voster"Absolutely brilliant! As a first timer I didnt know what to expect. Now I just want to go straight back but somehow I feel that my now heightened expectations will fall short. Weve been told that the events we witnessed were unprecedented. 6 kills (2 cheetah and 4 lion), a leopard bringing her kill into the camp, lion cubs, cheetah cubs, newborn elephant, elephant mating and a vehicle to ourselves! I would like to say that Greg and the drivers were brilliant. Dave, our driver, seemed to have x-ray vision when it came to spotting wildlife and was a very considerate driver, never cutting anybody up or positioning the vehicle in the way of others like some of the companies seemed to do. He was also very knowledgeable and anything he didnt know he was very willing to look-up and find out. Greg was also very knowledgeable and an invaluable resource as far as photography goes."
