Mike Dexter is a wildlife and conservation photographer and specialist photographic safari guide with over a decade of experience exploring Africa’s most remote and breathtaking wilderness areas. His journey began with a degree in photojournalism, where he honed his skills in visual storytelling. He later deepened his understanding of the natural world by earning a FGASA Level II guiding qualification and entering the wildlife industry as a full-time guide. What truly sets Mike apart is his genuine passion for sharing the art of photography with others alongside a commitment to using imagery to support conservation. He thrives on helping guests push themselves, capture moments they never thought possible and create images that carry both artistic and conservation value. His patient and engaging teaching style ensures everyone is left feeling inspired and supported throughout. Mike’s work has been featured in numerous travel and wildlife publications reflecting both the beauty of the natural world and the importance of preserving it. For him photography goes beyond the final image, it’s about telling stories that connect people to wild places and the challenges they face.
