Recommended for: Photographers of all levels who want a rare rainforest experience focused on Western Lowland gorillas, forest elephants, and the legendary Dzanga Bai. Ideal for guests who enjoy slower, more intentional photography, forest walks, and cultural depth alongside wildlife.
Fitness level: Low to Average – Gorilla trekking and rainforest walks require steady footing in humid, uneven terrain. You will also spend time in hides at forest clearings and on boat/forest activities depending on conditions.

The C4 Experience: This is a true Central African expedition into the Dzanga-Sangha Reserve, built around a small group and specialist guidance. You’ll work in challenging rainforest light, photograph from hides at mineral-rich bai clearings, and spend time with the Ba’aka people in respectful cultural encounters. It’s a safari for photographers who want images with atmosphere, context, and story.
