For as long as he can remember, his passion has been the great outdoors. He has spent most of his life in the south of Namibia, where he was introduced to one of the most beautiful places on earth - Soussusvlei.

After matriculating in South Africa, he realised he had no choice but to follow a career that would allow him to spend most of his time in nature. Jandre returned to South Africa. After spending some time back home, to study nature conservation and guiding, his compact DSLR never leaving his side. Once he completed his studies, he ventured into the world of guiding.

Jandre constantly has the urge to capture what is new and different. Luring viewers into new worlds, experiences and possibilities are what gets him out of bed. Jandre believes that "we live in a highly visual world, with the constant opportunity to pull viewers into images." If he can inspire, amuse and entice through what had been a massive presence in his life, nature and images, then his mission is accomplished.
